Unsettled Weather on the Way This Weekend

The National Weather Service is predicting rain and lower temperatures in the Sacramento region Friday, but sunshine should return by Saturday.

Don't let the rain fool you.

Despite a chance of thunderstorms Friday evening in the Sacramento region, Memorial Day weekend is actually shaping up to be pretty mild.

There's a 30 percent chance of rain during the day on Friday, with temperatures in the low 60s.  By Saturday, skies should clear up and highs should rise slightly to around 73.  For Sunday and Monday, sunny skies are expected with highs in the low 80s.

Saturday may still see some rain in the foothills with a steady breeze expected, so if you're planning a hike, bring a light jacket.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
