UC Davis Med Center Ranked 41 Best Pediatric Hospital in the Nation

UC Davis Medical Center also ranked #1 Hospital in Sacramento; Kaiser Permanente Sacramento and Mercy General Hospital were ranked in best of California list as well.

A Peninsula teaching hospital garned national honors this week when it was named to the Honor Roll of medical centers in U.S. News and World Reports annual rankings.

UD Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, was honored on the list of best pediatric hospitals in the nation, scoring high performances on 12 of 14 specialties.

The rankings, now in their 24th year, cover nearly 5,000 medical centers across the country and span 16 medical specialties, from cancer to neurology & neurosurgery.

California has 15 hospitals that are nationally ranked, and 46 other hospitals met standards for strong performance within the state; 440 California hospitals were evaluated. 

Here are the three recognized Sacramento Hospitals:

UC Davis Medical Center & Children's Hospital

#1 in Sacramento

#41 Pediatric Specialty in the Nation

#16 Best California Hospital

Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center and Mercy General Hospital

Both ranked #45 in California and #2 in Sacramento
