Feb. 5: Live Music, Museum Day, More

Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Whether you’re getting ready for your big Super Bowl party tomorrow or just enjoying a day with the kids, I hope you enjoy this sunny Saturday in Rosemont today. You can listen to some live music, find a place to watch the big game tomorrow, enjoy a day at any local museum for free (one of my favorite annual things!), play some Rock Band at the library or join a book club.

  1. Get ready for Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow by listening to some live music tonight! hosts live music every Friday and Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come out and enjoy some good music and good food.
  2. Speaking of the Super Bowl, if you’re looking for a place to watch the big game tomorrow, we’ve got you covered! Check out our , a list of great places where you can enjoy the game and some company this Sunday.
  3. Take the kids out today to learn a bit about Sacramento history, wildlife and science. Today is Sacramento Museum Day, a day when 28 museums in the Sacramento area will be offering free admission. From the Aerospace Museum and the Discovery Museum Science and Space Center to Sutter’s Fort and the Governor’s Mansion, there’s sure to be something to captivate all ages. Museums will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with admission ending at 4 p.m. Check out the complete list of participating museums here.
  4. Rock out today with the Rancho Cordova Library and Wii! The library invites patrons to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Light snacks and help for beginners will be provided.
  5. If you’ve read “Depths of Glory” by Irving Stone, why not join the Arcade Library’s book club? The club will be discussing the book today from 11 a.m. to noon. Light refreshments will be provided.
