Best of Winner: Ninja Sushi

Ninja Sushi wins Best Restaurant in Rosemont for a Special Occasion with 61 percent of votes.

If a special occasion calls for a nice dinner, is the place to go. Our Patch readers have selected Ninja Sushi as the Best Restaurant for a Special Occasion.

Sixty-three people voted in our first “Best of Patch” contest, with Ninja Sushi successfully getting 39 votes. Celia’s Mexican Restaurant came in second, with 12 votes.

In addition to gaining 61 percent of votes, Ninja Sushi also has a five-star rating on its Patch listing.

“The BEST Sushi around,” commenter Michael Proctor wrote. “The servers are friendly and Julian is the best host I have ever met.”

Another comment written by Christopher K Camara said: “Ninja Sushi has great food and a great atmosphere. We are never disappointed when we eat there.”

One of Ninja Sushi’s more popular rolls is the Flaming Dragon Roll that is set on fire prior to serving.

The restaurant is open Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. One thing that stands out about Ninja Sushi’s hours is that it doesn’t close in the middle of the day, like most sushi restaurants.

Owner Julian Chong said he chose to open the restaurant in Rosemont because he felt the area lacked a full-menu sushi restaurant. Specials are offered daily and can be found on the restaurant’s Facebook page under Ninja Sushi Sacramento.

came in third with 8 votes and received 4 votes. Check the poll below to see the results.

Next week, Patch is looking for “Best Place for a Kid’s Birthday Party.” The voting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.

(This poll is not scientific, and it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined based on poll results, comments on this page and on ratings and reviews on Patch Places. Hint: The ratings and reviews count extra.)

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
