Readers' Choice Nomination Period Ends Monday

Announcing the new and improved Patch Readers' Choice contest.

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to nominate the best spots in Rosemont. Don't miss this chance to share your love for your favorite local businesses and organizations.

Here's how it works:

We’ll accept your nominations in a number of categories through July 9. Starting July 23, you'll have a few weeks to vote (and tell all your friends to vote) for the best of the best. Winners will be announced in August and will receive an official Patch certificate and townwide bragging rights.

Click on the categories below to nominate your favorites:

Click here to sign up for the Rosemont Patch newsletter and receive updates on the contest. And don’t forget to tell your friends on Facebook and Twitter.

FAQ:

How is this different from past Readers' Choice polls?

We're running all the categories at once to give you more time to vote and spread the word. We've also made a few other improvements—like requiring registration to vote, which will improve the fairness and accuracy of polls.

My business already won a Readers' Choice poll. What does this mean for us?

Congratulations! Our reigning winners are still the champs in their categories, and we won't be repeating polls in any categories where we've already given awards this year. If your business won a Readers' Choice poll and you haven't yet received your certificate, someone from Rosemont Patch will be contacting you shortly to schedule delivery.

Roberto, Looks like the discourse is losing steam. There's an article in today's Bee by PaulRead More Krugman (Nobel Prize winner for economics) titled "Austerity policy creating long-term unemployment." I'd be interested in your thoughts on Krugman's take on the debt issue you raised days ago.

Now, now Mark, no need to get personal. Tom brings some important facts to the table. Our nation'sRead More spending is uncontrolled in almost every area including defense. We're not managing our spending and revenue is in the toilet. If the administration continues at this pace, they'll be going to Mexico for our next loan.
