"Glee" Guitarist to Perform at Rosemont High

Rosemont High School will host Derik Nelson during its fundraiser on Oct. 30, 7 p.m., at the Rosemont High Performing Arts Theater

Derik Nelson, guitarist from the hit TV show “Glee”, will perform at Rosemont on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., in the Performing Arts Theatre to raise money for the school's Creative and Performing Arts classes.  He will also do an in class presentation/workshop for selected music students.

Derik is a singer, songwriter, and producer, who can currently be seen every week as the guitarist on the FOX television show "Glee." His singing voice has been heard on FOX's "Raising Hope" and "New Girl," CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother,” NBC’s “Go On” and “The Voice,” and his original music has been featured on the WB hit TV series "Felicity," as well as the feature film “Commencement.”

As a performer, Derik has had the honor of sharing the stage with a variety of musical greats, including Mary J. Blige, Dionne Warwick, American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez, Lupe Fiasco with Guy Sebastian, and many more. He is currently preparing for a 2013 West Coast Tour of auditoriums at high schools, to help raise money for their arts & music programs.  His team's goal is to raise $100,000 for the schools.

Tickets for this show are $15 and went on sale at noon today. Don't miss this show!
