Weekend Planner: Swimming, Free Outdoor Movie, More

Here's what's happening in and around Rosemont this weekend.

We've all undoubtedly heard that the only things we can count on in life are death and taxes.  Change is inevitable, and Patch is not exempted from this force.  On that note, I must inform you that this is the final edition of the Weekend Planner.  It's been a good run and I hope that many of you out there have not only found it of use when figuring out how to spend your free time, but that you also truly enjoyed the suggestions put forth over the last several months.  As always, the calendar is available to list your upcoming local events and accompanying photos and fliers, which you may e-mail me to enter or input directly yourself.  In the words of our now-infamous, scandalous former governator:  "I'll be back!"

Why Go: Calling all John Denver fans!  If you spent your teen years listening to "Rocky Mountain High" and "Country Roads," you'll love hearing Robert Greene sing and play his guitar as he does his own renditions of those famous folk songs and a few of his own creations as well.  Settle in for some good music and stay for dinner, too.
