The third annual event will include a grilled dinner by Chops Restaurant and music by the Beth Duncan Jazz trio. There will also be a live auction run by David Sobon Auctioneer, a silent auction, raffle prizes, beer and wine tasting and dessert. One of the prizes is a 10-day-cruise to Alaska, which was donated by Zoe's Cruises and Tours.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door and can be purchased at the Critter Outfitter store inside the shelter, as well as on the shelter's website. Tickets can also be purchased at any VCAAnimal Hospital and all Western Feed and Pet Supply stores throughout Sacramento before Sept. 12.

The Sept. 15 event is from 6 p.m. To 10 p.m. at the shelter. Though the fundraiser is a benefit for furry friends, they aren't welcome to the "all-human event."
