Sept. 20: Hit the Road, Talent Showcase, More

Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Need to find something to do today? We’ve got five! There’s a rush week for high school students, Bible study, open mic night and plenty of exciting high school sports. So get out of the house today and enjoy one of the many things Rosemont has to offer!

  1. Today marks the beginning of Rush Week for students. Students can use their lunch time to sign up for some of the many clubs at the school. Rush Week will run until Thursday.
  2. Ladies, if you’re looking an afternoon of religious study and companionship, look no further than . The church holds a Ladies Bible Study every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. and all women are welcome to attend.
  3. Are you a great singer? Have a band? Or do you have some strange talent that you want to showcase? Check out  from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for its weekly open mic night. Don’t want to be on stage? Come anyway, and see what kind of talent Rosemont has to offer.
  4. Catch some more high school sports today! ’s girls golf team will head to Davis today to tee off at 3 p.m. against Dixon High at Wildhorse Golf Club, 2323 Rockwell Dr., Davis. The boys soccer team will stay at home tonight to host River Valley High at 6:30 p.m.
  5. Two of Rosemont High’s teams will hit the road today as well. The boys soccer team will head to McClatchy High for a 4 p.m. game. The girls volleyball team will head to neighboring Fair Oaks to take on Del Campo High at 6 p.m.
