Sept. 15: Matinee Movie Madness, Epic Life, More

Looking for something to do on this beautiful Thursday? From preschoolers to adults, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Rosemont today. Rosemont High students can audition to be in a play, young adults are invited join the Epic Life community, teens will have the chance to catch a movie at the library, preschoolers are invited to a storytime and new writers can join a writing group and get feedback on their works.

1. Budding thespians at  will get a chance to be in the first play of the new school year. RHS will hold auditions for “Romeo and Juliet” today beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Those wanting a part should come prepared with a one-minute classical or Shakespearean monologue.
2. Are you a young adult (around the ages of 18 through 30) looking for a positive religious influence in your life? Join ’s Epic Life community today at 7 p.m. for an evening of music, faith and community.
3. Teens, do you need a break from homework for a while? Head to the for a Movie Matinee. Beginning at 2:30 p.m., the library will provide snacks and a PG-13 movie for teens to enjoy while they take a study break. Contact the library at 916-264-2700 for the title of this week’s movie.
4. The Arden-Dimick Library is also offering some fun and interactive entertainment for your preschooler today! Join the library at 10 a.m. for preschool storytime, including, music, feltboard stories, arts and crafts and more!
5. Are you a budding writer? Check out the Rancho Cordova Library’s Writing Group! Meeting every third Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the group aims to help new writers get started by providing feedback, advice and gentle pushes to perfect your craft.
