A look at what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Good morning and TGIF, Rosemont! There are all kinds of events going on around town today, and here's a quick overview:

  1. Football: Both local high schools will hit the gridiron tonight, with Capital Christian playing at home and Rosemont taking to the road. .
  2. Writing contest: Rosemont Patch is looking for the best scary story written by a local high school student. .
  3. Fall festival: Isador Cohen Elementary School will hold its fall festival tonight at 5. .
  4. Costume contest: The deadline for Patch's Halloween costume contest is just around the corner, and so far the field of contestants consists only of a Pokemon character. !
  5. If you ever travel to Rancho Cordova's Koreana Plaza for some specialty groceries, know that it's in for an expansion. The Sacramento Business Journal reports that the shopping center will add "a Korean sauna, gift shops, restaurants and other improvements."
