Wednesday, August 7: Sacramento City Unified School District will hold a “town hall”-type forum on budget issues from 6-8 PM. Parents, staff and community members are invited to ask questions and get important information about the district’s finances during the two-hour meeting.

Saturday, August 10: Sac Roller Derby Double Header, Showdown begins at 6:30 pm, 2900 Bradhsaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827. Adult tickets are $12 in advance/$15 at the door. Children 7-12 are $6 in advance/$8 at the door. Children 6 & under are free. Watch the Sac City Rollers in a double header featuring nationally ranked Capitol Punishers and Folsom Prison Bruisers as they take on Sonoma County Roller Derby and VIVA Roller Derby.
