What's your philosophy on this never-ending debate?

Q: Should we spank our children? If so, how much is too much?

No matter how far back in history we look, spanking our children has always been a touchy subject.  Some parents think that we should find other means of punishment, while others feel spanking is necessary to keep children in line. 

But how much is too much? Should we be allowed to punish our children our own way?

That all depends, Rosemont resident Marina Wilkerson said.

"It depends how we spank, why we are spanking, and where we are spanking them," Wilkerson said. "On the behind seems to be a suitable place with a bare hand.

"You don’t have to hurt them, just get their attention and be done with it."

Obviously, you do not want to punish your children when you are angry.  Take a few minutes, take a walk or just go sit in a quiet spot until you can think clearly.  Our children need our direction to see what is right and what is wrong.
