Rise and shine, Rosemont—it’s Friday! Looking for something fun to do for this beautiful spring weekend? Check out our weekend planner to see everything going on in the area! Start your weekend early today by taking the family out for dinner, checking out some live music, celebrating your graduate, finding a camp for your high school and middle school basketball star or letting your child’s imagination soar.

  1. Help the Rosemont High School Travel Club while taking the family out for dinner! Each time you and your family eat at , the restaurant will donate a percentage of your bill to the school! All you have to do is mention when you dine and you can help the Travel Club raise money for future trips.
  2. Start the weekend off right at ! The eatery will host bands and singers alike for live music tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come out and enjoy some music with your dinner.
  3. Congratulations to and Rosemont High’s classes of 2011! The Capital Christian seniors will be graduating today at 7 p.m., and Rosemont seniors will have their moment to shine next month. In the meantime, check out our new column, ! The column highlights some of the amazing and talented students as they prepare for graduation and life after high school.
  4. Capital Christian High’s new basketball coach is offering something new at the school this year. The coach will be holding two basketball camps this year at the campus for high school and middle school students. For more information on the camps and how to register, .
  5. Do you have a budding builder in your house? Take your child to the Rancho Cordova Library today for a Lego-filled afternoon! The library will provide Legos from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to let kids young and old make fun and imaginative creations.
