The week starts anew this Monday—let’s hope it’ll be a good week in Rosemont. Looking for something to do today? You can help out at Golden Empire Elementary, learn some new skills or check out on some of the news you may have missed from last week.
- Join ’s Parent-Teacher Organization today for its monthly meeting from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The group is always looking for new volunteers–see how you can help today!
- Looking to learn a new talent? How about guitar? The Cordova Recreation and Park District has a beginning guitar group class for all ages starting today at 4 p.m. The class, held at Riverview Elementary School (10700 Ambassador Dr. in Rancho Cordova) costs $62 for four weeks and students are asked to bring their own guitar.
- If you already have some guitar skills and are looking to build them, the CRPD is also offering an intermediate guitar group class starting today at 5 p.m. For the same price as a beginning class, students can build on their basic skills in the four-week class. The class is also held at Riverview Elementary.
- If you're looking for a new way to encourage your little one to read, consider the Rancho Cordova Library's "Reading with the Dogs" event. Held at 6:30 p.m. every Monday, this free activity lets kids pick up a book and share it with a furry friend visiting from a local charity group.
- Looking to help a local group out? Today is the last day of the Rosemont Little League's Big 5 fundraiser. Just present the cashier with this coupon and 5 percent of your purchase at any local Big 5 store will be donated to the local little league. The fundraiser ends today at 9 p.m.
