Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

It’s Thursday, but you don’t have to wait for the weekend to have some fun. You can check out some swimming or tennis matches at Rosemont High School, find a positive outlook on life at Capital Christian Center, see what animals the shelter has for adoption today or find your own fun with some great deals we dug up for you. And while the GED is no one’s idea of fun, Golden Empire Elementary wants to make preparing for it a little bit easier for you with its twice-weekly class.

  1. Are you a young adult (around the ages of 18 through 30) looking for a positive religious influence in your life? Join ’s Epic Life community today at 7 p.m. for an evening of music, faith and community.
  2.  wants to help you prepare for that dreaded GED. Visit the school today at 6 p.m. for a free GED preparation class. The class runs every Tuesday and Thursday until June.   3. varsity teams will once again be competing today. This afternoon, you can check out the swimming team at 3 p.m. against C.K. McClatchy High School, or watch the boys tennis team take on Hiram Johnson High School at 4 p.m.
  4. Looking to add a purring pal to your family? Look no further than the ! Today is the last day of the shelter’s promotion of lucky black cats, where you can get half off the adoption fee of a black cat. Come on in and adopt a furry friend today!
  5. We all love a good deal, especially in these tough economic times. That’s why Rosemont Patch has created Frugal Family, a weekly list of some good deals going on in the area. This week, you can get some tips to save on food, tans or prescriptions. !
