March 25: Baseball, Live Music, More

Are you tired of being cooped up in the house because of the rain? While we’re expecting showers today, make sure you take advantage of any breaks in the rain to get out and enjoy Rosemont. Today, baseball, softball and tennis games are scheduled (let’s hope they don’t get rained out!) at Capital Christian and Rosemont High, the county animal shelter is offering an adoption discount for black cats and Strings Pizzeria will provide you with some entertaining live music.

1. While ’s co-ed track team competes at the Stanford Invitational this weekend, you can still catch your Wolverines at home. The varsity and junior varsity baseball teams will take on Inderkum today at 4 p.m. The team is looking forward to a great season, so get out there and support your local team!
2. The girls at will also be playing today in a softball game. The home game against Lindhurst High School begins at 4 p.m. today. And if you prefer tennis, they have you covered! The co-ed tennis team will also be taking on Lindhurst High at home at 3:30 p.m.
3. Looking to add a purring pal to your family? Check out the cats available at the ! From now until March 31, the shelter will be offering half off adoption fees for black cats, proving that there’s nothing unlucky about these furry felines.
4. Start the weekend off with some music and pizza! will host bands and singers alike for live music tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come out to enjoy some music with your dinner.
