Rosemont Patch would like to honor veterans from this area.
Memorial Day can mean a lot of different things to different people: A day off from school or work, another federal holiday, or a way to honor the service members who died fighting for the United States.
According to an LA Times database, nine people from Sacramento have died in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Of those nine, one graduated from Cordova High School and one from C.K. McClatchy High School.
