This week, Rosemont residents will have an excuse to party on a Tuesday.
National Night Out, an annual event designed to encourage neighborhoods to build bonds and prevent crime, is set for Tuesday. Residents are encouraged to have block parties, barbecue or hold youth events.
Last year, more than 37 million people in all 50 states participated, according to a press release.
Officials with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department will be visiting some events in Rosemont, and local neighborhood watch coordinators are among some of the residents organizing events.
If you're hosting an event, we'd like to hear about it. What kind of event are you hosting? What do you hope to get out of it? Let us know in the comments section below.
