Mardis Gras Pub 'n' Grub Crawl
Where/When: Old Town Sacramento / Starting at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Take a self-guided tour/pub crawl through historic Old Sacramento, fill your belly with good eats and drinks and enjoy live music. Many bars/pubs/eateries in Old Sac are participating and will have food and drink specials. One of the best parts about the venues in Old Sac is going downstairs – to find billiards, another bar and sometimes a live band. It's worth exploring.
Pricing: Cost of drinks and food.
Where/When: Hot Italian, the corner of 16 and Q Streets / Sign-ups at 4 p.m., races begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go: Join the indoor cycling challenge or sit back with a beverage and take in the scene. The semimonthly event runs through the end of March and is a great physical and social way to end the weekend's festivities.

Found Footage Festival: Live Comedy Based on...Found Footage
Where/When: Guild Theater, 2828 35 St. / 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go: This is one of those “one-of-a-kind, can't miss” shows because it only comes around once a year. This unique event showcases footage from videos found at garage sales, thrift stores, in warehouses and even dumpsters throughout the country. Curators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher will be on hand to host the screening and provide observations and commentary on the sure-to-be “found footage” hilarity.
Pricing: $10; seating is first come, first serve.
Where/When: Skinner Howard Contemporary Art Gallery, 723 S St. / Noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Why Go: This is the last weekend to experience “X-Rated Valentine Show: The Great Art of Seduction.” The gallery's website calls the show “risque (but in good taste),” and it includes works from nearly 20 artists. Explore, get out of your comfort zone and bring a date–he or she might appreciate the adventure.
