April 1: Pasta and Bingo Fundraiser, Garden Club, More

Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Happy Friday (and a happy April) to you today! There’s plenty of things to do today to kick off weekend. You can enjoy some pasta and bingo at Rosemont High (or check out a baseball game there!), catch some softball or tennis at Capital Christian, listen to some live music at Strings or head over to the Rancho Cordova Library for its garden club.

  1. Head over to tonight for bingo and a pasta dinner! At 5:30 p.m., the school will feed the crowd with a $5 pasta dinner (tickets will be sold at the door). And at 6:45 p.m., the bingo fun will begin. Bingo tickets are $10 or $15 for two, and you can win a variety of prizes! All money raised will go to the safe and sober grad night for the 2011-12 graduating class. For more information, contact Christina Pritchett at 916-716-8546.
  2. Speaking of Rosemont High School, you can also check out a home game today! The boys varsity baseball team will host Sheldon High School today. The game begins at 4 p.m., so get out there and support your Wolverines!
  3. will also be hosting some games today. You can catch the girls varsity softball team as they take on West Campus High School at 4 p.m. The coed tennis team will also be hosting West Campus High at 3:30 p.m.
  4. Start the weekend off with some music and pizza! will host bands and singers alike for live music tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come out to enjoy some music with your dinner.
  5. Now that spring has finally sprung, it’s time to practice that green thumb! The Rancho Cordova Library will welcome garden lovers, from aspiring enthusiasts to experienced green thumbs, today for the Rancho Cordova Garden Club. The club meets on the first Friday of each month and will feature speakers, workshops and tips from the pros. The club will meet today from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and all gardening enthusiasts are welcome to attend.
