Animal Shelter Slashes Adoption Fees

'Feline Frenzy' and 'Dogs Gone Wild' promotions will last through end of month.

The Sacramento County Animal Shelter is encouraging pet adoption this month with drastically reduced cat and dog fees. 

Its "Feline Frenzy" promotion drops the price to adopt an adult cat (one year or older) from $81 to $10. And its "Dogs Gone Wild" promotion drops the price of dog adoption (six months or older) from $147/$121 (female and male) to $50. 

Adoption fees include: spay/neuter, vaccinations, a microchip ID, a starter bag of Science Diet food, a vet exam voucher and 1-year animal license.
