RHS Football Beats Sheldon in a Thriller

If you don’t like that you don’t like high school football! The Rosemont High School Wolverines edged the Sheldon High School Huskies in a nail biter 41-36 improving their record to 2 and 0 for the season. With four lead changes, big plays from both offenses and defenses this game was not for the light hearted. With just 1:43 left in the game two-way star and kick off specialist Kameron Williams setup the Wolverines for the go ahead score with an 85-yard kickoff return. This game was certainly one of the most exciting football games RHS has seen in years. “It was an overall team effort,” said head coach Rick Wanlin, “we had big plays on offense, defense, and special teams.” Leading the Wolverines was running back Eddie Ortiz who ran for 203 yards and four touchdowns. Kameron Williams was also a standout totaling over 300 all-purpose yards.

Rosemont’s home opener is Friday, September, 20th when the Wolverines plays host to the Laguna Creek Cardinals. The JV game begins at 5:00pm and varsity begins at 7:15pm.
