Volunteers to Clean Mayhew and Huntsman Corner

Members of the Rosemont Community Association will clean up the corner this weekend.

The upcoming weekend may be a long one, but that doesn't mean rest and relaxation for everyone in Rosemont.

Members of the plan to spend Saturday and Sunday cleaning the corner of Huntsman Drive and Mayhew Road.

"About eight to 10 volunteers will pull out all the river rock, weed, bag debris, lay new weed barrier and put the rocks back," association member Linda Kenner said in an email.

They'll meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, and volunteers are asked to bring gloves, shovels, weeding tools or other landscaping tools. Volunteers are also asked to park farther down Mayhew Road, away from the corner. A local nursery may donate plants to the project, Kenner said.

The association will provide water for volunteers. The project is part of the , Kenner said.
