Stats: Where Do Rosemont Kids Attend High School?

Information from the Sacramento City Unified School District shows where students from Rosemont attend high school in that district.

Now is the time of the year when parents can choose which public school in the Sacramento City Unified School District their kids can attend.

For Rosemont families, the high school they choose isn't always the one on Kiefer Boulevard. Here are school district statistics on which Sacramento City Unified high schools Rosemont kids have attended over the past few years (note: As district spokesman Gabe Ross explains, "Also note that these numbers are not the full enrollment, as they do not include special ed students or students who live in any area except Rosemont. It also doesn’t include transfers to other schools outside our district...")

You should have included Capital Christian as it is also a High School. I sent both of my children there. It would be interesting to know just how many Rosemont kids go there now.

Hi Harold,
Those numbers wouldn't be part of the same data. These figures don't include kids in Rosemont who attend a private school or a school outside of the Sac City Unified School District. But I'll check on those Capital Christian stats. Thanks!

Don't forget El Centro Jr/Sr HS across the street from Rosemont HS.
It is in the juvenile detention facility.
I only mention this because most real estate information sources list El Centro (& not Rosemont) as the local High School.

Thanks George, El Centro is certainly a lesser-known program. I don't think most of its students are there by choice, though! To complicate things even more, it's not part of the school district -- that program is run by the Sacramento County Office of Education.

I'm surprised to hear that real estate information lists that school, though. Can anybody explain why that is?
