Oct. 20: Neighborhood Watch and SCUSD Meetings, More

A look at what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Good morning and welcome to another Thursday, Rosemont! There's lots happening around the area today, so let's dive right in:

  1. Rosemont's neighborhood watch groups will come together for a quarterly meeting of their steering committee at 7 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church. .
  2. The Board of Education of the Sacramento City Unified School District meets tonight, and the 2011-12 budget is on the agenda. Click here to download the district's lengthy "budget book" for more information, and click here to read the rest of the meeting agenda.
  3. Today is the day of the Great California ShakeOut, an earthquake drill so big it's landing in the record books. .
  4. Rosemont High School's soccer team takes the field today in a road game against Burbank High School. Games start at 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at 3500 Florin Rd.
  5. Capital Christian High's soccer teams will also hit the road today, facing Mesa Verde High School. That matchup will take place at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at 7501 Carriage Dr., Citrus Heights.
