April 29: Garden Meeting, Cheerleading, More

Find out what's happening in and around Rosemont today.

Happy Friday, Rosemont! Do you have any big weekend plans? Don’t forget to check out our Weekend Planner to see some of the fun and interesting things going on in Rosemont this weekend! Today, you can start your weekend off by helping the Sequoia Elementary School Garden Club, enjoying the weather at some high school sports games or checking out some live music at Strings Pizzeria.

  1. Did you hear about the of ’s community garden? Want to help out in the rebuilding effort? Come out to the school today for the Sequoia Garden Club meeting at 3 p.m. to find out how you can help!   2. The Wolverines are at it again! ’s girls softball team will hit the road today to take on Florin High, 7956 Cottonwood Ln., at 3:45 p.m. The school is fairly close to the Rosemont area, so you can take a short trip to cheer on the girls!
  3. The Cougars will also hit the road today. ’s girls softball team will head to Lodi to take on Elliot Christian High School. But don’t fret, you don’t have to go all the way to Lodi for your Cougar fix—the middle school track and field team will battle it out against Mills Middle School at home today at 4 p.m.
  4. Does your Cougar have dreams of cheerleading? Today is the last chance for your teen to audition for ’s cheerleading squad. Location and times of tryouts are yet to be determined, but you or your teen can contact Julie Filer at 916-856-5600 for more information.
  5. Start the weekend off with some music and pizza! will host bands and singers alike for live music tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come out to enjoy some music with your dinner.
